Expressing the sense of Congress that a carbon tax would be detrimental to the United States economy.

 

The Committee granted, by record vote of 7-3, a rule providing for the consideration of H. Con. Res. 119 under a closed rule. The rule provides one hour of debate equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means. The rule waives all points of order against consideration of the concurrent resolution. The rule provides that the concurrent resolution shall be considered as read and shall not be subject to a demand for division of the question. The rule waives all points of order against provisions in the concurrent resolution.
