H.Res. 639 - Authorizing the Speaker to appear as amicus curiae on behalf of the House of Representatives in the matter of United States, et al. v. Texas, et al., No. 15–674

  1. Closed rule.
  2. Provides one hour of debate equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Rules.
  3. Waives all points of order against consideration of the resolution.
  4. Provides that the resolution shall be considered as read and shall not be subject to a demand for division of the question.
  5. Provides one motion to recommit.

 

RESOLUTION

Resolved, That upon adoption of this resolution it shall be in order without intervention of any point of order to consider in the House the resolution (H. Res. 639) authorizing the Speaker to appear as amicus curiae on behalf of the House of Representatives in the matter of United States, et al. v. Texas, et al., No. 15-67 4. The resolution shall be considered as read. The previous question shall be, considered as ordered on the resolution to its adoption without intervening motion or demand for division of the question except: (1) one hour of debate equally divided and controlled by chair and ranking minority member of the Committee on Rules; and (2) one motion to recommit.
