H.R. 1376 – TAX RELIEF FOR PERSONNEL IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF YUGOSLAVIA (SERBIA/MONTENEGRO) AND CERTAIN OTHER AREAS

1. Closed rule.

2. Provides one hour of debate equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means.

3. Waives all points of order against consideration of the bill.

4. Provides that the bill be considered as read.

5. Provides that the amendment recommended by the Committee on Ways and Means and printed in the bill be considered as adopted.

6. Provides one motion to recommit with or without instructions.

RESOLUTION

Resolved, That upon the adoption of this resolution it shall be in order without intervention of any point of order to consider in the House the bill (H.R. 1376) to extend the tax benefits available with respect to services performed in a combat zone to services performed in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro) and certain other areas, and for other purposes. The bill shall be considered as read for amendment. The amendment recommended by the Committee on Ways and Means now printed in the bill shall be considered as adopted. The previous question shall be considered as ordered on the bill, as amended, to final passage without intervening motion except: (1) one hour of debate on the bill, as amended, equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and Means; and (2) one motion to recommit with or without instructions.
