            The Committee on Rules is expected to meet the week of May 24, 2010, to report a rule governing floor consideration of H.R. 5136, the “National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011.”  The following deadline has been set for the submission of amendments:

1. Bring to the Rules Committee in H-312, The Capitol (a) 30 hard copies of the amendment, (b) a brief summary of the amendment, and (c) a completed log-in form (/sites/democrats.rules.house.gov/files/documents/amend_login.pdf); AND
2. Submit an electronic copy of the amendment and summary via the Rules Committee web page (https://rules.house.gov/Media/file/PDF/HCsubmissionform.pdf).

Additional Information: Members are encouraged to have their amendments (1) reviewed by the Office of the Parliamentarian to be sure they comply with the rules of the House; and (2) reviewed by the Congressional Budget Office for compliance with the House paygo rule.  Amendments can be submitted to CBO by fax (6-1366) or by e-mail to Pete Fontaine (petef@cbo.gov, Cc: to terig@cbo.gov and darreny@cbo.gov).
